Term	Meaning
Asset	Anything Kilnside tracks — an animal, piece of equipment, field, building, or material
Event	A recorded action — weighing, movement, treatment, birth, etc.
Flock	A named group of animals managed together
Flock mark	Your 6-digit APHA holding number, encoded in every EID ear tag
EID	Electronic Identification — the 134.2kHz transponder in ear tags, read by RFID wands
NFC	Near Field Communication — the short-range radio in your phone, used with stickers
RFID wand	A handheld Bluetooth reader for scanning EID ear tags at a distance
Sync	The automatic process of uploading your local events to the cloud and downloading new data
Offline	Working without phone signal — events are stored locally and sync later
Confirmation card	The card shown after you speak or type an action — review and tap Confirm to record it
Quick action	A shortcut button on an animal's card (Weigh, Treat, Move, etc.)
Withdrawal period	The time after a treatment before an animal can be sent for slaughter or milked — tracked automatically
