Managing Flocks

Flocks are groups of animals managed together. Every animal belongs to a flock, and many actions (movements, treatments) can be applied to a whole flock at once.

Viewing a Flock

1. Go to the Animals tab
2. Tap on a flock name
3. You'll see all current members, with their key details

Moving Animals Between Flocks

"Add Ewe 42 to the breeding ewes"

Or remove an animal:

"Remove Ewe 42 from the hoggets"

Flock Marks

Each flock has a 6-digit APHA flock mark. When you tag a lamb, the flock mark in the EID ear tag is automatically matched to the correct flock.

Tips

• Flocks are flexible — animals can move between them as your management needs change
• Group actions are powerful — "move the hoggets" or "drench the breeding ewes" applies to every member
• Census — you can ask "how many in the hoggets?" to get a current count
